Buda UMC Weekly News and Events

On June 9th, Pentecost Sunday, in worship we will celebrate the 150th anniversary of UMW. As we recognize the incredible impact that the Holy Spirit has instigated through the hands of women across so many years, we will also recognize the impact she had on the early Jesus-followers as they grappled with how to gather in the immediate aftermath of Jesus's death, resurrection, and ascension.

On June 9th during the Sunday school hour we will celebrate Jo Johnson. Buda UMC family has been blessed to have had Jo Johnson as the pianist for the past 20 years. The reception is an opportunity for us to express our love and appreciation for all that she has added to our worship and church life. Cards and notes will be appreciated. If you would like to contribute to our gift of appreciation to her, you can put a check in the offering plate or send to the church office. Make the memo as gift for Jo.

On Sunday, June 2 we will celebrate and bless all graduating High School seniors. If your family has a senior who will graduate who wishes to participate in this recognition, please call or email the church office and let Kim McCracken know. We will need the names of all seniors who will be attending by May 29 at 4pm.
